Geometry

The sphere is a 3-dimensional object (solid), with all the points of its outer outer surface having an equal distance from a common point, called centre. That distance is called radius of the sphere. The volume of a sphere is given by the formula:

\[ V = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^3 \]

where r the radius.

The outer surface area of the sphere is given by the next formula:

\[ A = 4\pi r^2 \]
